History

A Family Business

E. A. Dion, Inc. was founded in 1968 by Edward Dion Sr., and originally called The Dion Manufacturing Company.  Our initial building was a tiny 300 square foot shop in Attleboro, Massachusetts, and the Company had only one product line of Pennsylvania Dutch souvenir jewelry.  The first foray into custom designed products was a lapel pin creation for a Pennsylvania distributor, Conestoga. In 1977, we incorporated as E. A. Dion and through a series of facility moves now operate in a 30,000 square foot modern facility.

Despite our growth, we remain very much a family business. Edward “Ted” Dion Jr. joined the business in 1980, and in 1983 his brother Dennis entered the business.  The brothers now operate E. A. Dion as President and Senior Vice President, respectively. Ted and Dennis are actively engaged in the day to day operation of the company and are supported by a stable and extremely capable management team.  Together, the team has made selective, sustained growth, high customer retention, and a loyal distributor network part of the Dion identity.

Selling strictly through our distributor partners, E. A. Dion is a fully integrated manufacturer of precious and non-precious rings, pins, badge holders, and other jewelry awards.  Our highly skilled design team can bring any vision to life, and our caring factory team is committed to executing outstanding products.  Dion’s global sourcing capability and a successful presence in the recognition, promotional products, and direct selling/multi-level marketing markets make it a leader in custom award jewelry.
